Compassionate Care Awards 2024

October 17th, 2024

From 6p.m.-9p.m.

CrossOver Healthcare Ministry on October 17, 2024, for the Compassionate Care Awards 2024: Threads of Hope and Healing. A 6 p.m. reception will be followed by a 7 p.m. dinner and program. Our 2024 honorees are Anne Granger, Commonwealth Endodontics, and Margaret Phelps.

This year, CrossOver honors an eclectic group of community members and partners that exemplify the power of community and interconnectedness. Since our founding in 1983, we have relied on our community to come together so that we can help our neighbors most in need. CrossOver is powered by over 400 volunteers, 55 employees, and dozens of community partners that come together to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare. This past fiscal year, CrossOver served over 7,000 patients for the first time in our history.

We hope you will join us to honor Anne Granger, Commonwealth Endodontics, and Margaret Phelps, and to celebrate CrossOver’s thriving community of compassionate supporters. You can purchase your tickets by following this link.

RECENT EVENTS

CrossOver Prayer Breakfast

The CrossOver Prayer Breakfast gathered CrossOver’s faith partners to deepen their engagement with CrossOver. The breakfast, held at West End Presbyterian Church, featured the Lord’s Prayer in four languages, as well as a panel of CrossOver community members who spoke to their roles with CrossOver and how their faith tied in to their work. Thank you to all of the partners, old and new, that made it to this year’s event!

Spring into Action 2024

Spring into Action 2024: Global Cultures, Local Care will feature CrossOver’s growing refugee program. Our refugee program has grown substantially over the past year through partnerships with the Virginia Department of Health and local resettlement agencies. We have hired Matthew Minter, RN, to work specifically with our refugee population. Matthew works closely with Megan Stiling, NP, who oversees our refugee health screenings which are crucial to refugees staying in the United States. In addition to the health screenings, CrossOver becomes a primary care home for refugees through partnerships with local resettlement agencies.
