Julie Bilodeau
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Julie Bilodeau joined CrossOver Healthcare Ministry in 2003 after working for over ten years at Circuit City Stores. During Julie’s tenure, CrossOver has opened a clinic on Quioccasin Road in Henrico County, established an in-house licensed pharmacy, and implemented electronic health records. Julie has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from the Darden School of Business. She is a member of the LMR class of 2012.

Mike Murchie, MD
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Murchie joined CrossOver Healthcare Ministry’s staff as the assistant medical director in July of 2008 and later become CrossOver’s sole medical director. In this role, Dr. Murchie provides primary care services to Richmond’s low-income, uninsured residents. Dr. Murchie received his BS in biology with a minor in religion from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He received his MD in 2005 from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, and received his board certification in internal medicine in 2008.
Dr. Murchie and his wife Missy have four children and are active members of Third Church.
Teresa Gonzalez
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS
Teresa Gonzalez came to CrossOver in 2006 as a medical assistant extern. Over the years, Teresa has occupied a variety of positions here, but most recently, she was promoted in 2021 from Henrico clinic manager to director of clinical operations. She is grateful to serve in this role and enjoys working to ensure that the clinical teams are equipped succeed every day in their work with CrossOver patients.

Kaitlyn Patterson
Nurse Manager
Kaitlyn came to CrossOver mid-pandemic in 2021. Prior to coming to CrossOver, Kaitlyn obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from VCU and gained experience as a pediatric nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys exploring new places and taking Spanish classes.

Administrative director
Elizabeth joined CrossOver in 2019 after working over thirty years in Information Technology, Project Management, Operations, and Administration, across a variety of organizational structures including private industry, government, and nonprofit. She is both humbled and grateful to support the exceptional work of our employees and volunteers as they deliver compassionate care to our community.

Danielle Avula, MD
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Avula has been at CrossOver since 2019 caring for both children and adults. She loves helping patients increase their personal health literacy and understand the power of preventive care. When not at CrossOver she loves to read and bake, especially for her four children.
Velma Barnwell, DDS
DENTAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Barnwell has been dental director at CrossOver since the fall of 2019. Before moving to the Richmond area, she had a private dental practice in Newport News for 20 years. She loves working at CrossOver, where she can help people in need and feel good every day about her work.
Vivian Bruzzese, MD
DIRECTOR OF HIV PROGRAMS
Dr. Bruzzese began volunteering at CrossOver in 1994 and came on staff in 1997. She offers primary care as well as care for patients in our TIPS program. She enjoys caring for underserved people and those suffering from stigma, and working with students in clinics.
She also loves spending time outdoors monitoring a state bluebird nest box trail or walking her dogs, as well as spending time with family and cheering on The Florida Gators!

Megan Kaylor Stiling, np
Nurse practitioner
Megan joined CrossOver in early 2023. As a family nurse practitioner, she cares for children and adults. With a background in Exercise Physiology, she particularly loves empowering patients about healthy lifestyle changes for prevention and management of chronic disease. Outside of CrossOver, she enjoys hiking, running, painting, and spending time with her husband and golden retriever.

Jacquelin Smith, PA-C
Women’s Health PHysician Assistant
Jacquelin joined CrossOver as the OB clinical lead in early 2022. She has brought with her years of experience in Women’s Health and Primary Care. She is passionate about patient education and empowering women to advocate for themselves. Jacquelin loves being active, spending time with her growing family and traveling.
Schliqua Lewis, LPC
Counseling Coordinator
Schliqua Lewis is a licensed professional counselor and CrossOver’s counseling coordinator. Schliqua has provided mental and behavioral healthcare at CrossOver since 2012.
Liz Wiebe, FNP
Family Nurse practitioner
Liz joined Crossover Healthcare Ministry in 2022 and cares for adults and children as a family nurse practitioner. She loves the holistic model of healthcare delivery that is possible at Crossover. In the past, she has also worked as a social worker in Latino/Latinx community mental health with youth and families. She enjoys reading, playing tennis, and hiking with her husband and two kids.
