Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering at CrossOver Healthcare Ministry! Your willingness to give of yourself to those in our community who are in need of care mirrors the dedication and contributions of more than 1,000 active volunteers. Please recognize from the start how very important you are.
CrossOver volunteers are essential participants in our mission “to provide healthcare, promote wellness and connect community talents and resources with people in need in the name of Jesus Christ.” Our team of employees and volunteers are committed to upholding CrossOver’s vision of “creating a healthy, vibrant community where every person is restored by the compassionate, healing love of God.”
CrossOver volunteers are people who make a difference in the lives of patients and their families and are fully integrated into every aspect of what we do. CrossOver relies heavily on the services of volunteers, and we estimate that about 60% of our patient care is a direct result of volunteering. Thank you for your desire to join our team!
CrossOver has transitioned to an electronic health record! The electronic transition has brought some changes to our volunteer intake process; now, in order to volunteer, you will need to complete volunteer orientation AND EMR training. The volunteer intake process will likely take a few weeks to complete. Due to the sensitive and important nature of our work at CrossOver, all volunteer opportunities require training and commitment.
Step 1: Complete the volunteer application found below for your area of interest (medical, non-medical, student)
Step 2: Interview
Step 3: Reference Check
Step 4: Complete CrossOver’s Volunteer Orientation
Step 5: Complete applicable Electronic Health Record training
Step 6: Establish Volunteer Schedule and complete a training shift on the clinic floor
Step 7: Make a meaningful impact on your community as a long-term volunteer!
